There are different areas of use for musical works. Works published on an album, streamed or downloaded on digital platforms, used in radio and television broadcasts, performed at concerts, or played in public places such as restaurants, cafes, and bars are subject to copyright.

MSG identifies the platforms where music works are used and, through licensing agreements, collects royalties from these uses and distributes them to the rights holders.
